In 2023, the French National Centre for Cinema and Animated Image (CNC) launched\u00a0Going European<\/strong>, a training programme for pairs of European authors, focusing on issues related to the co-writing of international series. The programme had three partners: the S\u00e9ries Mania festival (France), the co-production and networking market Conecta FICTION & ENTERTAINMENT (Spain) and the Sarajevo Film Festival \u2013 CineLink Industry Days (Bosnia and Herzegovina). \u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https:\/\/www.eventconecta.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/MicrosoftTeams-image.png” title_text=”MicrosoftTeams-image” align=”center” _builder_version=”4.14.7″ _module_preset=”default” width=”70%” max_width=”70%” global_colors_info=”{}”][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text disabled_on=”off|off|off” admin_label=”Texto” _builder_version=”4.14.7″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat” hover_enabled=”0″ use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid” global_colors_info=”{}” sticky_enabled=”0″]<\/p>\n Going European was funded by the MEDIA programme of the European Commission<\/strong>, the programme ran for a period of three years (2023-2025), and aimed to train authors in the co-writing, co-development and co-production of international series<\/strong>. 30 authors (10 each year) received support for the duration of the programme, all of them involved in co-writing projects for international series.<\/p>\n The 10 authors mwt each year for three intensive one-week training sessions<\/strong> at the three partner events, where they participated in exchanges, workshops and masterclasses on the specific issues involved in the conception of an international series, the creative, financial, legal and environmental aspects, as well as production, distribution and promotion issues. They also met with experienced professionals from various areas of the series industry.<\/p>\n After the S\u00e9ries Mania festival in March, the five pairs attended three days of exclusive training from 13 to 15 June, before Conecta FICTION & ENTERTAINMENT which was held from 16 to 19 June in Cuenca, Castilla-La Mancha (Spain).
