Each year, the Conecta DIGITAL jury is composed of professional experts from the audiovisual and technology industries. In each edition, they are responsible for reviewing and evaluating both the Startups and the projects submitted by Young Minds (young entrepreneurs up to 30 years old) from our call for projects. From all those received, four will be selected in each category to be presented at the pitch sessions during the event (November 18–19, Madrid).

FRANCISCO ASENSI

Francisco Asensi has over 30 years of multidisciplinary experience at the intersection of technology, media, and audiovisual content. He is considered an explorer of new territories in communication, digital business, and new narrative formulas. His background includes digital business development, new entertainment (gaming, immersion, esports), and the transmediation of content. He currently works as an independent senior advisor for the Spain Audiovisual Hub, within the Ministry of Digital Transformation. but his previous career includes companies in the technology sector such as Ideal Objects, Altana Consulting or Borland, where he began his professional career, cybersecurity companies such as Deny All or, once he moved his professional interest to the world of the audiovisual and interactive content industry, Real Madrid CF, EMI Music and, notably, RTVE as director of digital business and Endemol Beyond, the digital unit of Endemol of which he was managing director. In the last ten years, after promoting the launch of three emerging companies such as NeverSeen Media, Tarkinia and League of Lawyers, he joined DeAPlaneta as director of digital business and esports, parking the project to start a first stage in the Spain Audiovisual Hub, in its first phase. He returned to DeAPlaneta as Director of Innovation to rejoin later to the Spain AVS Hub in its second phase. With a cross-cutting vision that spans from the first wave of digital transformation (the ‘dotcom era’) to the latest immersive trends, Francisco Asensi also shares his knowledge as a professor at schools and universities such as The Core School, ECAM, ESCAC, Nebrija University, among others.

Lorena is Co-founder and Managing Director of INMERSIVA XR, the Spanish Extended Reality Cluster. She has experience in communication, project management and event organization. She is also a founding member of XR4Europe and represents Euromersive and Women in Immersive Tech in Spain. After more than 9 years in the XR industry, she does technology consultancy and masterclasses. She is keen to explore new paths and to be a bridge between people and technology.

With a degree in journalism and audiovisual communication and a master’s degree in communication business management, I have spent most of my professional career at Atresmedia in various positions of responsibility within the digital area.
