The Conecta FICTION & ENTERTAINMENT PITCH DIRECT TO STREAMING MOVIES Editorial Committee is made up of professional experts and senior executives from the audiovisual industry. They are in charge of reviewing and evaluating the projects received during our new Call for Projects. From all submitted projects, 5 feature film projects are selected to be presented in a pitching session during the event in June 2025.

ALEX MEDEIROS

GLOBOPLAY (BRAZIL)
Alex Medeiros is the Head of Drama, Documentaries & Film of Globoplay, responsible for commissioning, curating and overseeing development and production of series such as “Dissident Archangel”, “Rensga Hits!” and “The Others”, telenovelas such as “Hidden Truths 2” and “All the Flowers”, documentaries such as “The Evandro Case”, “Xuxa – A Life on TV” and “The Brazilian Mafia”; and feature films such as “Vitória” and Academy Award Winner, “I’m Still Here”. Also a director, producer and writer, he wrote the series, “Living on the Razor’s Edge”, which was screened at Berlinale and Canneseries, and nominated at the International Emmy Awards. Alex has been at Globo since 2001. Previously he was responsible for development of series and formats at Estúdios Globo, and for acquisitions at Globosat. Before Globo, Alex was at the Walt Disney Company, in the US, as Acquisitions Manager for The Disney Channel Latin America and prospecting scripts and formats for worldwide deals.
MARIA CONTRERAS

María Contreras has a long career in the audiovisual sector. After almost 11 years as a development executive and executive producer at Atresmedia Cine, giving the green light to projects such as El Cuerpo, Villaviciosa del al lado, Toc Toc and El Club de los incomprendidos, she joined the Amazon MGM Studios team in 2021. During her time at Prime Video, she has been taking on more and more responsibilities; she spent three years working as a film development executive for Prime Video, and, last April, she was promoted to the position of head of Spanish original films at Amazon MGM Studios. During her time at Amazon, she has been behind titles such as the sci-fi thriller Awareness, the comedies Mañana es hoy and Un hípster en la España vacía, the youth film Culpa mía and its sequel Culpa tuya, and the psychological thriller La virgen roja. Since September 2024, he has led the entire fiction team, including series and feature films.
TEREZA GONZALEZ

Tereza Gonzalez turned her passion for audiovisual production into a solid career that has earned international recognition. With nearly 40 years of experience across different areas, she was a producer on series such as Portátil, Anderson Spider Silva, and Escola de Quebrada, all nominated for the International Emmy Awards, as well as on the special Se Beber, Não Ceie, which won the 2019 International Emmy for Best Comedy. She was CEO of Porta dos Fundos, where she led the company’s international expansion. She has also worked as an executive producer on dozens of feature films and series for various streaming platforms and has been involved in the production of hundreds of commercials. She has been part of Paramount, where she was VP of Content until 2025, leading the development area across the pan-regional market (Brazil and Latin America). Throughout her career, Tereza has played a key role in strengthening and promoting the international presence of Latin American audiovisual production. She is now VP International at Conspiracão.
CHARLINE DE LEPINE

After studying journalism and communication in Paris (Sorbonne and CFJ) Charline de Lépine decides to settle in Colombia where she begins to work in the production of several international feature films. Back in Paris, she has been an associate producer at the company “Son et Lumière” for 16 years and has produced numerous telefilms and series, such as “Avocats et associés” and “Spiral”. In 2006 she created the company Macondo which successfully produced the 3 seasons of “Les hommes de l’ombre”, « Speakerine » y « Piste Noire » which had a spectacular rating in 2023. She is currently preparing a thriller miniseries for France Télévisions about a women’s handball team.

Alex is a creative producer with 20 years’ experience turning bold ideas into standout TV movies and series. Having worked at leading studios like Warner Bros., Constantin Film, Red Arrow, and Producers at Work, he specializes in developing and packaging premium German content with international appeal. Early in his career, he honed his industry sense at UTA and Gersh in Los Angeles, navigating the motion picture literary world. A DFFB and EAVE alum with business degrees from Berlin and Madrid, Alex combines strong creative instincts with strategic know-how—always focused on building compelling stories that travel.
MANUEL MARTÍ

Manuel Martí works as a producer alongside Mariano Cohn and Gastón Duprat, developing film and series projects through the Cohn-Duprat film office. Until February 2025, he served as Head of Fiction at Fremantle Latam, where he oversaw the development of original content, international coproductions, and strategic alliances. Prior to Fremantle, Manuel spent 5 years at Polka, one of Latin America’s biggest production companies, as Head of Development and International Business; and 8 years at Turner International as Latam’s Original Production Director. Originally trained as an architect, Manuel has worked in the fields of design, direction, and content production.
