The Pitch Drama Series Editorial Committee in Conecta Magaluf-Mallorca comprises seasoned professionals and senior executives from the audiovisual industry in both Europe and America. They meticulously assess the international series submissions received in our call for projects. From the pool of entries, they will carefully curate a selection of 5 projects, which are then showcased during the pitch session at the event in May.

MARCO ARABIT
SVP & Co-Head of International Distribution
New Regency Productions (United Kingdom)
Marco is a highly accomplished senior executive with a proven track record in international content distribution, driving significant revenue growth across various international media & production organisations. Currently serving as SVP & Co-Head of International Distribution at New Regency, he spearheads global content strategies through Sales, Acquisitions and Coproduction opportunities. His expertise spans strategic planning, financial modelling and implementation of diverse revenue generating models across multiple regions. He has successfully navigated complex markets and fostered strong client relationships through his 17+ years in the business. Before New Regency he gained valuable experience in content curation, monetisation and cross-vertical third-party alliances at Legendary Entertainment and Paramount (formerly Viacom). He has a deep understanding of the global media landscape, combined with a strong business acumen.
DIEGO DEL POZO
FICTION MANAGER

Degree in Business Administration and Management (UC3M, 2011), Master’s Degree in Direction of the Audiovisual Company (UC3M, 2011) and Master’s Degree in Management of the Audiovisual Company (EAE, 2015). Since 2011 he has been working at Atresmedia Televisión, where he currently holds the position of Fiction Manager, overseeing the search, launch and development of the original fictions of Series Atresmedia, mainly for atresplayer, the group’s SVOD platform. In addition, he has also developed a teaching work being a professor of several master’s degrees and programs in different universities and audiovisual business schools.
ANA CELIA URQUIDI

ATENEA MEDIA (MEXICO)
She began her career at Televisa in production and casting direction, participating in several soaps such as El abuelo y yo, La Paloma, among many others. In 1996 she joined the production company Argos, working on hits such as Mirada de Mujer, La vida en el espejo, and more, all for Tv Azteca. Her career as a producer extends to other television stations and platforms such as Telemundo, for whom she produced hits such as La Patrona and El Señor de los Cielos, as well as Capadocia for HBO and Ingobernable for Netflix. In 2016 she joined TV Azteca as director of fiction development. In 2018 she joined Hemisphere to produce the series Erre for Viacom. In 2019 she founded Atenea Media, producing films such as Peligro en tu mirada and Dulce Obsesión. She has also participated on multiple occasions, as a panelist, moderator, special guest and jury of the International Emmy Awards for 6 consecutive years and Conecta FICTION & ENTERTAINMENT. She is part of the board of MipCancun since 2016. She is currently executive producer of Lo que callamos la mujeres for TV Azteca and La serie Lalola for VIX.

Patricia Arpea is Head of Business and Legal Affairs at IIF – Italian International Film, a film and television production company, as of March 2024. She has been working in the world of audiovisual productions for over 30 years, and before entering the team of IIF – Italian International Film she has developed her entire career in one of the best-known companies of the industry, Publispei.
TERESA CARBONELL

Konga Music & SaraoMusic (Spain)
In 1996 she founded the Konga Music Agency, offering a comprehensive service to the audio-visual sector and other brands. In 2012 she formed SaraoMusic, the first and only label for Production Music produced solely in Spain. In 2014, SaraoMusic embarked on a joint venture with Universal, and since then has enjoyed a massive international presence. Teresa Carbonell has been a member of the IPMG (International Production Music Group) and is currently on the boards of both the AEDEM (the Spanish Association of Independent Publishers) and the SGAE (the Spanish Society of Authors and Publishers). She remains a major supporter of music in terms of both the creative process and of the industry and business in itself.
MARGARIDA PEREIRA

Margarida is a multi-lingual, internationally recognized executive with more than 31 years of experience in the broadcast industry. She serves for the past 20 years as Director of Acquisitions and Director of International Programming at TVI, Portugal’s commercial free television channel, where she is responsible for overseeing all international acquisitions, co-productions, and program sales. Margarida combines commercial acumen with a deep understanding of global trends in television content. For the past 20 years, she serves every year as a juror for prestigious awards, including the International Emmys, C21 Drama Awards, Venice TV Festival, SERIESMANIA and the Rose Latin Awards. Prior to joining TVI, Margarida held positions in public relations at INESC and the Ministry of Culture, developing communications strategies and managing media relations across TV, radio, press, and digital platforms.
SEBASTIAN KREKELER

Sebastian Krekeler joined ZDF Enterprises in 2008 as Personal Assistant to then CEO Alexander Coridaß. In 2010, he took on responsibilities in Sales Management and Business Development VoD (Video-on-Demand) for the GAS (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) region, expanding his responsibilities to Sales in GAS and Italy in 2013. In 2016, Sebastian became Director ZDFE.drama for Sales & Acquisitions in GAS and Italy. Among his latest projects are “Maltese” (Palomar for Rai), “The Crimson Rivers” (Storia for France 2/ZDF with Maze Pictures/ZDFE.drama) and “Freud” (Satel Films/Bavaria.fiction for ORF/Netflix).

A journalist specialized in film, she has worked at RTVE for more than 30 years on programs about film premieres, film history, and documentaries. Since 2017, she has been part of RTVE’s Fiction Department, where she has served as executive producer on behalf of the network for series such as Servir y proteger, La caza (Monteperdido, Tramuntana, and Guadiana), Néboa, Fugitiva, Diarios de la cuarentena, Ana Tramel, HIT, Historias para no dormir, Sequía, Sin límites, Los pacientes del doctor García, Fuego cruzado, 4 estrellas, La ley del mar, Asuntos internos, Weiss & Morales, and La promesa (winner of the latest Emmy Award).
