The Conecta FICTION & ENTERTAINMENT Pitch Innova Formats Editorial Committee is integrated by several professional experts and senior executives from the audiovisual industry, both from Europe and the Americas. They are in charge of reviewing and evaluating the international entertainment format projects received during our call for projects. From all the formats received, a total of 5 are chosen to be presented at the pitching session during the June event in 2025.

JULIANA ALGAÑARAZ

Recognized as the only executive in Brazil to make the 2020 Personalities list by Prensario Internacional, Juliana Algañaraz founded La Reina Casa de Ideias in 2021, after leaving the position of CEO, which she had held since 2016, of the country’s leading independent production company, Endemol Shine Brasil. During her tenure, the company grew by 2300% and, for the first time in history, secured programming with all major broadcasters, brands, and platforms in Brazil, producing local versions of international hits such as MasterChef, Survivor (No Limite), The Wall, Love is Blind (Casamento às Cegas), and Masked Singer. Juliana Algañaraz began her television career in 1996 at Channel 13 in Argentina, and held positions at Discovery Communications, Rede TV!, Fox Latin American Channels, and Porta dos Fundos, one of the largest YouTube channels in Brazil, where she was a partner and served as CEO. Currently, Juliana Algañaraz runs three companies. La Reina Entertainment, which creates, markets, and produces audiovisual content for all platforms and TV channels. La Reina Casa de Ideias, where she works as a branding and growth strategy consultant for brands and clients. And La Reina Digital, a company fully dedicated to strategic management, content production, and media buying for companies and influencers.

Giancarlo’s background covers diverse areas such as production, operations, marketing, branded content and content development, which has allowed him to have a 360° vision of the television industry. In an era where multimedia is no longer the future but the present, he promotes a liquid and adaptable vision of entertainment and fiction content in Peruvian television, designed to inhabit all platforms and connect with increasingly demanding audiences. With 20 years of experience in the audiovisual industry, he currently leads the content strategy department of Peru’s leading channel: América Televisión. He believes in content that excites, informs and generates value. And above all, in those that build lasting relationships. For him, creativity and innovation are key tools to keep surprising audiences and stand out in the popular imagination.

FRANK SCHEUERMANN

ENDEMOL SHINE BOOMDOG (MEXICO)
Born in Germany, raised in Colombia and now living in Mexico, Frank is a Producer and Television Executive with more than 20 years of experience, working in the Latin American market, mainly producing Entertainment content and also adding some Fiction productions. In addition, he has adapted with very good results some of the most successful franchises worldwide for the Latin American market such as Popstars, El Factor X, Got talent, Survivor, Shark Tank, Quien es la Máscara, Gran Hermano, MasterChef and recently Deal or No Deal. He currently serves as CCO of EndemolShineBoomdog.

NUNO VAZ
ENTERTAINMENT SUBDIRECTOR
RTP (PORTUGAL)
Started his career in 1997, as a television journalist at RTP, before moving to fiction and entertainment as a freelance writer, producer and director, working for TV, cinema and advertising companies. From 2000 to 2008 he was a partner at TGSA and a member of the board at Terra do Nunca (two independent production companies in Portugal), producing game shows, shiny floor entertainment, documentaries, telenovelas, series, theatre plays and musicals. From 2008 to 2010 he worked as a producer in China. In 2011 returned to RTP, first as Head of Contents until 2015, and after as Head of Entertainment. From 2016 to 2019 he worked as a guest teacher on a Storytelling post-graduation at Escola Superior de Comunicação Social, in Lisbon. Since 2023, he assumed the role of Entertainment Subdirector with the responsibility for the Main Formats at RTP.
